Version control

Pin the fleet to an
approved version.

Say the fleet is pinned to v7. It can be
any version you choose. Take v8 around
the block first. Happy with it?
The IT administrator pushes a config
approving v8 out to the patrol vehicles,
and units update next time they dock.

The update file
goes to the car PC.

Download the patch file once, push it to the
in-car PCs with your deployment tools.

Presets configure
every unit.

Screen timeouts. USB method: COM, HID,
keyboard. Encryption. Data retention.
The IT administrator exports one file,
drops it into a set folder on each
patrol vehicle, and every docked unit
syncs the latest config automatically.
